Outreach Programs and Services
When it comes to meeting challenges, our response is simple: "Together We Serve." Because we're local, we can serve the unique needs of the communities we live in. And because we're global, we can address challenges that go beyond our communities to the broader communities throughout the United States and beyond our own borders.
We want everyone to see a better tomorrow. That's why we support sight programs and services including vision screenings, eye banks and eyeglass recycling. Provide eye care services to those at risk of losing their sight. And raise donations through campaigns like our annual Pancake Breakfasts, Heritage Festival and others on our calendar which you will find on this web site.
We believe everyone deserves a healthy life. From providing health programs that focus on hearing loss to supporting efforts to control and prevent diabetes, we're working to improve the health of children and adults around the Spring Lake, Michigan area.

We empower the next generation. Whether it's providing volunteer and leadership experiences in our developing Leo club or sharing a message of goodwill through our community efforts. Our Youth programs invest in the future by reaching out to young people including support of our local scout troops. Meeting of the Leo club will meet on Thursdays between regularly scheduled main club meeting dates.
We serve local communities. From performing hands-on service projects to providing emergency assistance, our club considers projects which improve our communities.

Who are the Spring Lake Lions? What do they do?
They are your neighbors, people who donate their time and efforts to raise the funds needed to help the blind, deaf and support community projects.
Some current involvements. There are times that you see these Lions (see “Members” section) doing Collection of Glasses for Recycling, and providing Assistance to those in need with sight impairments or being involved in Scout Troop Support as well as general involvement in Community Awareness. But, it’s what you don’t see that really counts.

Our Spring Lake Lions Club as part of the International Lions Club, Michigan Lions Club, and Lion Club District 11-C efforts continues as part of the largest service club in the World which at last count includes more than 190 countries. We are proud of the fact that every dollar contributed is used to aid the needy with no personal financial award to its members or their individual clubs. We have even included as part of our disclosure on this web site how funds are handled.
All Club funds received from the Public are deposited in the Fund Raising accounts and are separate from the Administrative Fund. Funds will not be comingled. Gifts to the Club for Fund Raising should be made out to Spring Lake Lions with a notation on your check indicting “Fund Raising” and we recommend you use our Fund Raising Contribution Form. Members may make contributions to fund raising and such donations shall be treated the same as any Public individual. However, when members make donations for other than fund raising, including money, supplies and/or equipment they are required to make a disclosure or explain the purpose for their donation and are given a receipt which expressly indicates use for the Administrative Fund Form.
